An unprecedented drought and famine in Somalia this year has put over 6 million people in critical need of food and water. While the UN is raising funds from governments, many people have stepped up to do what they can to help. A few Somali American restaurant owners in Minnesota have decided to raise funds by donating a portion of their sales from one day directly to support relief efforts.
The goal is to raise $150,000 on April 7th to donate to nonprofit organizations working on the ground. Most of the participating businesses have pledged to donate 50% of sales that, with others donating as much as they can. Together, we can help make sure people in need get some support!
